His career spans Qatar, Japan, and New Zealand, where he has developed a reputation for excellence in installation, leadership, and project management.
Starting his career with the SOJV Sky Orix Joint Venture on the Doha Qatar New Airport Project in 2008, Berny initially worked as a drywall and ceiling installer. Over the next two years, he showcased his technical skills and dedication, ultimately being promoted to the position of Leadman in 2010. As a Leadman, he was responsible for overseeing installation teams and ensuring the quality and timely completion of the project.
In 2012, Berny moved to Tokyo, Japan, where he continued his work with Sun Interior Ltd. During his three years with the company, he contributed to various high-profile projects, including commercial, residential, schools, hospitals, and train stations installations. His diverse experience in different building types helped solidify his versatility as an installer.
In 2016, Berny relocated to Auckland, New Zealand, where he worked with Forman Commercial Interior T/A Fletcher Construction Company Limited. Over the next five years, Berny was involved in a series of major projects, such as the Fletcher Main Office, Bayleys, Data Com, Auckland Airport, Paremoremo Prison, Auckland University, Commercial Bay, 27 Smales road Synergy Properties ltd, Horizon Hotel, and the New Zealand International Convention Centre (NZICC). As an installer, he was recognized for his precision and commitment to high-quality finishes.
In 2021, Berny transitioned to a Leading Hand role, where he not only continued his hands-on work but also began managing and coordinating teams, contributing to the efficient delivery of complex projects across New Zealand.
In 2023, Berny furthered his professional development by earning the New Zealand Certificate in Proprietary Systems Installation Level 4 from BCITO, which demonstrates his commitment to maintaining the highest industry standards and his ongoing growth in the field.
